Yamaha unveils the new-era FIM Yamaha R7 BLU CRU World Cup for the 2027 season

For the 2027 campaign, the Yamaha BLU CRU World Cup will be stepping up to more powerful Yamaha R7 machines.

Yamaha Motor Europe has announced that the FIM Yamaha BLU CRU World Cup will use the bigger Yamaha R7 after six successful seasons on the R3 package. The category launched in 2021 and is designed to help talented young riders progress to the world stage. The season comprises a 12-race, six-round campaign in which riders share the paddock with WorldSBK across a selection of European rounds. Competitors in 2027 will race the latest Yamaha R7; introduced in 2026, the bike is powered by a 689cc CP2 engine, and the platform propelled WorldSPB’s Carter Thompson (Team BrCorse) to podiums and victories in the class’s maiden season.

Registration will open shortly, with prospective competitors invited to enquire using the contact details below. To keep the series as accessible as possible for aspiring young riders, the full-season package is priced at €29,000. It includes the use of a race-prepared Yamaha R7, as well as leathers, tyres, fuel and race entry fees.
