The MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship will take on the Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto, Andalucia for the final round of the 2026 campaign. The Pirelli Spanish Round will be a farewell to Pirelli as the Official Tyre Supplier to WorldSBK since 2004 leave at the end of the season, but, ahead of their final weekend, they have unveiled their allocation for the 2026 season finale.
SOFTEST ALLOCATION AT THE REAR
For the rear tyres in World Superbike, Pirelli have opted to go for the softest possible tyres, with every option coming from the standard range. Available throughout the weekend will be the SC0 soft, which is the hardest of the available tyres, and the SCX supersoft, used often throughout the season – including last weekend at Estoril. The SCQ extrasoft is also in the allocation, although its use is limited to practice sessions, Tissot Superpole and the Tissot Superpole Race. Should it rain, riders can use standard Intermedia and standard SCR1 Rain tyres.
STANDARD FRONT SOLUTIONS
Like the rear tyre allocation, the options at the front all come from the standard range. The SC1 soft is the softest of the two available to the field, and it is joined by the SC2 medium. The SC1 is used commonly throughout the season. Should it rain, riders can fit either the standard Intermediate or standard SCR1 Rain tyre to their bike.
WORLD SUPERSPORT ALLOCATION
For the World Supersport field, like for WorldSBK, all the tyres come from the standard range. At the rear, riders can fit either the SC0 soft or the SCX supersoft to their machines. At the front, the choices are the SC1 soft or the SC2 medium. In the event of rain, only the standard SCR1 Rain tyre is available.
“THE EXTENSIVE DATA COLLECTED OVER THE YEARS AT JEREZ CONFIRMS THAT THESE ARE THE MOST EFFECTIVE OPTIONS”
On the allocation and Pirelli’s final round, Giorgio Barbier, Motorcycle Racing Director at Pirelli said: “The Pirelli Spanish Round will mark the final chapter in the long journey that began in 2004, when Pirelli joined World Superbike as Official Tyre Supplier. Over the years, we have built a partnership that has seen us become not just a supplier, but an active and strategic partner, contributing to the growth and development of the Championship.
“Before saying our final goodbyes, however, we still have one last round ahead of us, which we want to approach with the same determination and the aim of bringing a particularly positive season to the best possible conclusion. The results achieved, with new records set at virtually every circuit and in a wide variety of conditions, have gone hand in hand with intensive development work, carried out alongside the teams right up to the final race. For this last event, we have chosen to retain the softest rear options, the extrasoft SCQ and supersoft SCX, which have been used throughout much of the season. The extensive data collected over the years at Jerez, both during races and in testing, confirms that these are the most effective options for tackling a circuit characterised by low-abrasion asphalt.”
