Ducati left Donington Park celebrating more MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship success after securing the Manufacturers’ Championship with four rounds to spare, and the factory Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team took the Teams’ Championship during the Prosecco DOC UK Round as well.

CELEBRATING A MANUFACTURERS’ TITLE

Ducati introduced a new model of the Panigale V4R for 2026, featuring aerodynamic concepts from MotoGP, a revised chassis, new front frame, double-sided swingarm and considerable internal changes too. It’s been a bike that all the Ducati riders have used to their success, but particularly Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati), who’s on 23 out of 24 races this season. In fact, with only one rider scoring points for each rider in the Manufacturers’ Championship, it looked like it would be his points would be the only ones that count, before teammate Iker Lecuona won Race 1 at Donington Park. Thanks to the pair, Ducati have recorded a perfect score in 2026, with 496 points after eight rounds. With 248 remaining this season, their 276-point lead over Bimota after Donington was enough to give them the title.

THE STREAK CONTINUES

Since 2022, Ducati have won the Manufacturers’ Championship in each season, making their current run five in a row. It’s not the longest streak in WorldSBK history. Between 2015 and 2020, Kawasaki won six consecutively, while Ducati won seven in a row between 1998 and 2004, before their run was ended by Suzuki. This streak is the third time Ducati have had a run of five or more Manufacturers’ titles (2022-2026, 1998-2004, 1991-1996).

TEAMS’ CHAMPIONSHIP WON

While Ducati were celebrating their Manufacturers’ Championship, the factory Aruba.it Racing – Ducati wrapped up their fifth consecutive Teams’ Championship on Sunday in the UK, thanks to Bulega and Lecuona’s incredible season. Prior to Lecuona crashing from P1 in the Tissot Superpole Race at Donington, the team were on an unprecedented streak of 19 1-2 finishes. After the Superpole Race, when the title was won, the team had amassed 804 points, giving them a huge 493-point advantage over nearest challengers, bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team.
