The MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship heads to the iconic Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” for Round 7 of the 2026 season, and even more records can be broken at the Italian venue. 200 – Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) and Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) are set for their 200th race start, joining Marco Melandri in 22nd in the all-time list.
104 – 104 podium placements of Ducati riders at Misano are an all-time record. The next highest is from Assen, as the Italian manufacturer have 103 there.
74/75 – Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) is only one podium shy of the best score for an Italian rider: Melandri at 75. Melandri shares the 11th all-time spot with Colin Edwards.
70 – Misano has hosted 70 WorldSBK races so far, third overall with Donington Park. Only Phillip Island (76) and Assen (73) have hosted more races.
45 – The last 45 races were won only by the first two grid spots: this is an unprecedented streak in history. The previous record was 21, from Jarama Race 1 to Mugello Race 1, 1991.
80/90 – 38 wins out of his first 90 presences for Ducati for Bulega. Only one rider reached them faster: Alvaro Bautista (Barni Spark Racing Team) needed exactly ten fewer: 80.
38-43 –Bulega needs 5 wins to reach Haga in sixth in the all-time list. Before this season started, Bulega had 20 wins.
37 – Up to last year, this was the track in which a single manufacturer has won the highest number of races: Ducati won 37 times. With a winless weekend here in 2025 and with 3 wins at Phillip Island this year, the record now has shifted to Phillip Island: Ducati won 39 times there.
31 – Bulega is recording the best streak of races on the podium: 31. Best rivals are Edwards and Toprak Razgatlioglu, with 25, respectively in 2002 and 2025.
22 – Bulega is on the longest ever winning streak in WorldSBK history, currently 22 races long.
21 – The last 21 races were always won from pole, a record streak in WorldSBK history.
18 – Bulega is on the best winning streak of races won since the start of the season: 18. This is also the third-best value for wins in a season. The record is 27, set by Bautista in 2023, while Razgatlioglu’s 21 victories last season could be matched at Misano.
17 – Iker Lecuona (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) is becoming a regular podium finisher, but with Bulega amassing wins, he now has 17 podiums without wins, the all-time record.
17 – The record of podiums at Misano belongs to Jonathan Rea: 17; Troy Corser follows at 16. Among the current riders, the best value is 11 by Bautista.
15/16 – Bulega is one pole position shy of 8th in the all-time list (Neil Hodgson: 16).
15+15 – Lecuona is on a streak of 15 consecutive second places (behind Bulega). This is an all-time record streak. The 15 consecutive 1-2s by Bulega winning from Lecuona are also an all-time record streak.
15/20 – Lecuona scored 15 second places this season. Only two riders recorded more: Razgatlioglu, 20 in 2023, and the rider who won all those 15 races where he finished 2nd: Bulega, 18 last year.
13x2 – The last 13 wins here came all from the first two grid spots: the sequence started after Michael Ruben Rinaldi won from 4th in the 2021 Superpole Race.
12/14 – In 2022, Ducati claimed back the record of poles at Misano, 12, after Kawasaki had equalled them in 2021. In 2023, Ducati improved to 13, and last year Bulega took the tally to 14.
12 – Bulega led all the laps in 12 races this season. Data for this statistic is available since 1998 and that figure is an all-time record: Bautista led from lights to flag 11 races in 2019.
12 – Ruben Xaus is the only rider who won here starting outside the top ten on the grid. In 2003, he recorded a double, starting twice from 12th on the grid for the factory Ducati team.
11 – Bulega recorded 11 Grand Slams this year (winning the race from pole, leading every lap and setting the fastest race lap). Data is available since 1998 and it’s a season record.
11 – Ducati was the sole winner here for 11 straight races: from 2001 Race 1 to 2006 Race 1. Andrew Pitt (Yamaha) broke the streak, taking his only WorldSBK win in 2006 Race 2.
9 – From 2011 to 2021, Kawasaki set a record streak of 9 poles here. That equalled the absolute record streak in WorldSBK set by Ducati at Brands Hatch: nine straight poles from 1995 to 2002 (double race weekend in 2000).
7/8 – Bulega is on his best streak of pole positions, 7 (since Jerez last year). A pole at Misano would tie the all-time record streak, recorded by Jonathan Rea in 2021 from Aragon to Magny-Cours.
