Bassani pips Bulega in FP3 at Aragon, Surra completes top three as 0.082s separates the trio

It was an all-Italian top three as Axel Bassani put Bimota on top in the final practice session at Aragon

Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) claimed top spot in Free Practice 3 for the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship after he set a 1’48.169s at MotorLand Aragon. He was just 0.049s clear of Championship leader Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) in second, while rookie Alberto Surra (Motocorsa Racing) completed the top three in the final practice session of the Aragon Round. Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) didn’t set a lap time in FP3 after he crashed at Turn 5 in the early stages of the 20-minute session.
