The WorldSBK paddock of the Circuit de Magny-Cours today witnessed a historical press conference regarding the future of the FIM Superbike World Championship. Motul, the world-famous French company producing high-performance motor oils and industrial lubricants, was announced as the new Title Sponsor of the series for the next five years.
The agreement, which extends to a whole new level of partnership between the company and series promoter and organiser Dorna, has been warmly welcomed by all parties involved in the Championship.
“This is a very exciting day for us” said Romain Grabowski, Motul Motorsport Manager, “because for the past twenty years we have been involved in MotoGP as well as in the Endurance World Championship. This is a new challenge for us and we are excited to be here and on the front row. This is a great day for Motul.
“We are working tirelessly with Dorna to be fully prepared for the upcoming year and this will be a very ambitious project for us,” he added. “This is still top secret, but we have lots of ideas and we are looking for next season to be a great one.”
