Franco Morbidelli (San Carlo Team Italia Kawasaki) secured the pole position after the second qualifying session for the Superstock 600 European Championship. The current Championship leader, with only race left - scheduled for today at 6pm - got the better of the other two title contenders Christian Gamarino (Team Go Eleven Kawasaki) and team mate Alessandro Nocco, who had one crash each in the final minutes of the session, while they were trying to improve their lap-times.
Kyle Smith (Agro-on Racedays Honda) finished fourth, ahead of Tony Covena (Nito Racing Kawasaki), Robin Mulhauser (MTM-MVR Racing Yamaha), Jan Buhn (AGR Racing Team Yamaha) and former points leader, just for one round this year, Bastien Chesaux (EAB Ten Kate Junior Honda).
