FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Oliveira and Petrucci’s debut look with their new BMW M1000RR ride
The BMW factory team’s new pair of riders were out on track in Jerez, take a first look at the German manufacturer’s riders with their bike!
In one of the biggest moves of the offseason, BMW completed the signings of MotoGP race winners Miguel Oliveira and Danilo Petrucci to fill in for open slots atop their bikes in light of the departure of Toprak Razgatlioglu to MotoGP and Michael Van der Mark taking up a new role with the team as a test rider. As Petrucci was still unfit from a wrist injury suffered shortly before the end of the season, and Oliveira was still competing in the MotoGP paddock, neither could debut at the October test in Jerez. With that, this test marks the first time the bikes have been on track with their competitors since joining the German manufacturer.
