Saturday, 12 November 2022 06:33 GMT

Alvaro Bautista has one hand on the title and can secure the Championship in Race 2 on Sunday

After taking second place in Race 1 during the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship visit to the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) is able to win the title in Race 2 during the Pirelli Indonesian Round. With a 71-point margin over Toprak Razgatlioglu (Pata Yamaha with Brixx WorldSBK) heading into the race, Bautista will be Champion if he ends the race with a 62-point margin or more over Razgatlioglu.

This means Bautista will be Champion if:

  • He finishes on the podium, he will be Champion regardless of Razgatlioglu’s results
  • He finishes 4th or 5th and Razgatlioglu is second or worse
  • He finishes 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th and Razgatlioglu is third or worse
  • He finishes 10th, 11th or 12th and Razgatlioglu is fourth or worse
  • He finishes 13th or 14th and Razgatlioglu is fifth or worse
  • He finishes 15th or worse and Razgatlioglu is sixth or worse
  • Razgatlioglu finishes seventh or worse, Bautista is Champion regardless of his result
