Aruba.it Racing will compete in the 2022 WorldSSP season with Moto2™ rider Nicolo Bulega joining the Championship

Ducati machinery will take to the FIM Supersport World Championship in the 2022 season with the Aruba.it Racing WorldSSP team linking up with Italian rider Nicolo Bulega for a title charge, with Italian manufacturer Ducati returning to the Championship for the first time since the 2007 season with the Ducati Panigale V2.

Ducati machinery has taken part in 323 races in WorldSSP to date with four wins and 15 podiums the current record for the Bologna-based manufacturer, as well as eight pole positions. Their best position in a Manufacturers’ Championship in WorldSSP is second in 2000 when they finished 39 points behind Champions Yamaha.

Bulega will be the first rider on Ducati machinery in WorldSSP since 2007 after switching from the MotoGP™ paddock after competing in 50 Moto3™ races, taking two podiums and two pole positions, as well as three seasons in Moto2™ where he is still searching for his first podium. Prior to that, the 21-year-old competed in the FIM CEV Moto3™ Junior World Championship and claimed the title in his second season in 2015, taking one win at Jerez.
