Nocco to race in WSS with San Carlo Puccetti Racing

The 2013 STK600 runner-up to make his debut in the series at Aragon.

Alessandro Nocco will contest his rookie WSS season with Team San Carlo Puccetti Racing. The youngster from Gagliano del Capo, Southern Italy, found himself without a ride after a sponsor backed off two days before the first Moto2 World Championship tests. The joint effort by Manuel Puccetti, the Italian Motorcycling Federation and other sponsor and partners will allow Nocco to make his WSS debut from the second round of the season, scheduled for April 13th at Aragon.

The runner-up in last year's STK600 series cannot wait to start this new adventure and he is happy to be part of a team he knows well - and with whom he gets along really well. " Manuel (Puccetti) called me straight away as the chance of racing in Moto2 faded away" said Nocco. "I can't thank Manuel for doing all he could to make sure I could race this year. I'm really happy to be part of such a good team and to have people around me who can make me feel at home."

"We will be on track next Friday and Saturday for the Italian Championship (CIV) test" he continued "while our season will start at Aragon on April 13th. Once there we will know what to expect from the first race."
