Although it can’t happen this weekend, Jonathan Rea’s target of a 100th win would see him join only a select group of riders in motorcycle racing World Championships to achieve this

Five-time MOTUL FIM Superbike World Champion Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) is rapidly cementing himself as the greatest WorldSBK rider in history and in the remaining nine races, he’s aiming to become the first rider in the Championship’s history to achieve 100 race wins. The Northern Irishman, who is going for a sixth world title on the bounce with the Spanish-run Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK, spoke to the BBC and stated that “to be homing in on 100 wins is crazy!”

Rea went on to talk about how coming from Northern Ireland, “the thought of winning a WorldSBK race seemed out of reach” and that after five titles, “100 wins were possible.” You can enjoy the full interview with the BBC here.
