Across Facebook and YouTube, you’ll be able to relive the incredible emotions of Noriyuki Haga’s sensational duel with Max Biaggi and Troy Corser in this Donington duel

The 2020 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship may have paused but there’s plenty of classics to enjoy! This week’s Facebook and YouTube premiere will be Race 2 from Donington Park in 2007. An epic race-long battle saw the main protagonists out in the early stages, saw Nitro Noriyuki Haga take one of the most unbelievable race wins after a last corner mistake from Max Biaggi, fitting in with the weekend of Japan here at WorldSBK. The race will be streamed at 2pm CET, 9pm in Japan.

After a big crash in Race 1 which resulted in the amputation of part of his little finger, Troy Bayliss was absent from the second outing. In the opening stages, Race 1 winner James Toseland was robbed of a home double as his Honda suffered a technical problem, leaving it up to Haga, Biaggi and double Champion Troy Corser to race hard. Constant battling and passing made for a final lap charge and whilst looking like he had it in the bag, Biaggi went too wide at Goddard’s and allowed Haga to scurry through and blast clear on the run to the line, with Corser coming home third.

Other premiered classics on our YouTube Channel are available. The timeless moment of Tom Sykes’ title-clinching moment from Jerez Race 1, 2013 is ready, as is Neil Hodgson’s first win in front of 100,000 home fans at Donington Park in 2000 in Race 2. Another one to enjoy is the Battle of Buriram from Race 2 in 2016, with Tom Sykes beating Jonathan Rea in an epic last lap duel. There’s awesomeness from Race 1 at Assen in 2009, with a final lap dogfight between Ben Spies and Noriyuki Haga and the first title Italian WorldSBK Champion, with Max Biaggi at Imola in Race 2, 2010. A  titanic duel from Race 2 at Hockenheim in 1996 which features Carl Fogarty’s first win for Honda and Marco Simoncelli’s podium from Imola’s Race 2, 2009.
