About

Roman Ramos began riding at nine years old with his first minimoto, competing in the regional championships and the Spaniard won on his debut race. Winning the Ninja Cup when he was 16, he quickly advanced in the world of racing and in 2013 won in the Moto2 category of the FIM CEV Repsol. The rider from Cantabria joined the QMMF Moto2 team in the World Championship in 2014, alongside Australian Anthony West.

After gaining that experience, Ramos entered a new era of his career in WorldSBK, at the helm of a Kawasaki ZX-10R with Team Go Eleven. Ramos stuck out for his fantastic consistency, scoring points in 20 of the 26 races in which he competed. He ended the year fifteenth, held back by mechanical problems in the final two races in Qatar at the end of the season when he was running in the points. 2018 will be the Spanish riders fourth season with the Go Eleven team, and with the new rules in place he looks forward to improving his pace and fighting for the top ten.
