About

At 30, Toth counts on a wealth of experience in the world of two-wheeled competition. The Hungarian rider made his debut on the international stage in 2002, when he competed for the first time in the 125 World Championship. In 2009, after three years in the 250 championship, Toth and his team decided to move to the WorldSSP championship, where he remained for 4 years. In 2014, he moved up to WorldSBK but had a difficult rookie season in which track time was significantly curtailed by injury. Last year, BMW Team Toth had two Hungarian riders after Gabor Rizmayer joined the project. Toth, whose team counts on one of the smallest budgets in the paddock, scored points in 3 races and achieved a best finish of 12th. The rider from Budapest will compete in his third year in the top class in 2016; the first alongside new teammate Peter Sebestyen, who is also Hungarian. The two will be riding the new Yamaha YZF R1 as the Japanese manufacturer returns to WorldSBK.
