Italian rider Badovini has spent the majority of his career in the World Superbike Championship, starting out in the European Superstock 1000 back in 2003. Competing in the European series for seven seasons, the Italian has secured 11 victories in the class, being crowned champion in 2010 aboard a BMW machine. Slowly building up his experience in the STK1000 series, he then made the step into the WorldSBK championship in 2011 with BMW.
Making steady progress in the series, he was able to consistently secure top 12 finishes in the championship standings as he secured podium finishes across the seasons. Making the move to the ever-competitive World Supersport Championship in 2016, Badovini took his debut victory in Malaysia as well as a podium in France. A consistent season saw him end in sixth position overall, and he returned back up into WorldSBK for 2017 with Grillini Racing Team, where he had a tough season. Now back in WorldSSP with MV Agusta Reparto Corse, his experience will no doubt help the team to improve on their mission to be fighting for podium finishes.
