Imola Test Date for O'Halloran
| Monday, 13 July 2009 15:32 |
O'Halloran, 22-years old, has great experience in various forms of racing and most recently he has competed in the Australian and British Superbike Championships. He is not a rookie in WSS either, having ridden a one-off event at Brno in 2007, to replace the injured Kevin Curtain in the official Yamaha team (photo). He qualified 22nd but rode well in the race itself to finish 12th and score points in his first - and so far only - WSS race.
Said O'Halloran, "First of all I'd like to thank everyone at Althea Honda for giving me this opportunity and my manager Terrell Thien for making this possible to ride at the Imola test. I am really looking forward to the challenge ahead in the World Supersport championship that's one of the toughest closely fought championships in the world and I cannot wait to get amongst the action in Imola. I am looking forward to working with the Honda Althea team and will be trying 110%. Imola will be a new circuit for me but I am up for the challenge and hopefully by the end of the two days testing we will be in a competitive position."
