So Mark, what are you up to here on the starting-grid?
"I'm here to watch the racing. It's great to be here, it's good to see Johnny (Rea) and the Red Bull guys, so we've got a good interest in them. I've been watching the whole season with interest actually, obviously with a bit of a superstar in Ben Spies taking this category by storm at the moment."
And being an Aussie of course, Troy Bayliss was here until last year...
"Yes, that's right! Troy obviously started my interest big time in Superbike, we always had Mick (Doohan) and Casey (Stoner) on the 500s and now MotoGP, and Wayne Gardner, so growing up I was always interested in bikes."
Do you ride a bike yourself?
"My dad had a Yamaha dealership for 20 years so I've been around bikes a long time."
Who's going to win then?
"Spies! The weather might play a role in the second one, but I think it's going to be pretty straightforward for him."
