Michael Jordan and Noriyuki HagaAmerican Basketball legend Michael Jordan dropped in on the World Superbike races on Sunday to greet the riders. The now-retired Jordan is the owner of a team in the AMA Pro Racing Superbike championship, which runs Aaron Yates and Geoff May, but turned up at the Utah US Round to just basically enjoy the racing.

Taken around on a tour of the pit garages by SBK Director Paolo Ciabatti, the ex Chicago Bulls player met up with all the top World Superbike riders, including Ben Spies, Noriyuki Haga, Michel Fabrizio, Max Biaggi and Carlos Checa before the start.

Even the 1.98m tall Jordan couldn't believe his eyes however when he met up with one of Jonathan Rea's mechanics, the 2.07m Daniel Postmus who towered over him in the Hannspree Ten Kate Honda garage....
