The provisional front row was the same as the first day, with Jakub Smrz (Pata B&G Ducati) and Shane Byrne (Althea Ducati) third and fourth.
Fifth place went to Leon Haslam (Alstare Suzuki), with the top five separated by only 0.068 seconds. Superpole will determine the final grid places for the top 20 riders in combined qualifying.
