Tommy HillAfter the most challenging period of his career, Tommy Hill (Hannspree Honda Althea) returned to action for his Italian based squad at the Phillip Island race last weekend. A cycle of serious injury and recovery and then injury again would have dented the resolve of many a rider but even though he was facing a genuine challenge at Phillip Island - his full-time WSB debut in the potentially toughest season there has ever been - Hill not only qualified for Superpole but went on to secured two points scoring finishes in each WSB race.

Said Hill of his weekend's exploits: "This was my first race back since 2007 and I'm pretty happy with fourteenth position in each race. The second race was even harder than the first one. After two-thirds of the race I was doing everything I could to reach Carlos Checa but it was really not possible, as when I pushed harder I made a couple of small mistakes. Anyway it was a consistent start to the season and I'm happy with my results. With the help of my technicians, we'll be more competitive in the next race at Qatar."
