Encouraging one-day test at Mugello for Haga
Noriyuki Haga was on track last Saturday at Mugello's Autodromo Internazionale for a one-day test in preparation for his one-off ride on Round 7 of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship at Imola. The former regular of the series for 12 seasons, 43-time race winner and 3-time Championship runner-up, got to grips with the new bike and completed 70 laps under perfect weather conditions and temperatures, despite heavy traffic on the track caused by amateur riders.
Haga claimed to be really happy with the test and he's now looking forward to tackle the Italian round, scheduled for June 30: "First of all I would like to thank Feel Racing and Team Grillini Dentalmatic" said Noriyuki Haga "for the opportunity to ride the BMW S 1000 RR. The test at Mugello went really good and we were able to find a base set-up for the bike for the round at Imola. I haven't been racing since October of last year, but I hope to be quick enough, I'll be doing my best and push hard during the whole weekend, I want to score a good result for the team and the fans."
