Biaggi not giving up yet in title chase
After the customary summer break the 2011 World Superbike championship resumes with the tenth round at the Nurburgring. For the Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team this is a crucial moment, despite the fact that the championship standings favour rival Carlos Checa. World champion Max Biaggi absolutely must not let the leader get away from him and he must defend against his rivals' attacks. The situation is not much different for the manufacturer standings, with Aprilia in second place (tied with Yamaha) at just 35 points from the top.

The German Nurburgring circuit is potentially a suitable track for the RSV4's characteristics. The fourth and fifth place Max earned here last year must be looked at in light of the situation which had the multiple world champion holding a strong lead in the 2010 season. This year, with even stronger motivation, the Corsair must aim for a significant result.

"The holidays are over. We are finally getting back on the track!" declared a super motivated Max Biaggi. "Despite the break, I still have the half-disappointing Silverstone weekend in my mind. In Germany I want to make up for that. In spite of the standings which don't look very promising, we must always aim for the best possible result anyway. I like the circuit and my RSV4 should like it as well. Now we'll just wait to take the track and evaluate the initial times to begin setting up properly for an important weekend.

After the difficulties on his home track, Englishman Leon Camier wants to start with the right foot at Nurburgring, confirming the promising job done till now and helping Aprilia in the struggle for the manufacturers championship.
