Aprilia take the Manufacturers' title
Thanks to Max Biaggi's win the second race at Magny-Cours, Italian manufacturer Aprilia were able to celebrate their second world title of 2010.

After the Riders' crown, the Veneto-based company also put a seal on the Manufacturer's title, with 471 points accumulated during the course of the season. Second place went to Ducati on 424, third were Suzuki on 412.

Biaggi scored 14 podiums, while team-mate Leon Camier scored three, and both riders clearly made a major contribution to the success of the team, as was explained by Aprilia Racing's technical and sporting director Gigi Dall'Igna: "Even just one of these two titles seemed like a mirage two years ago, when we made our debut with a brand-new bike that was totally different to anything that we had done before. Celebrating this wonderful victory today makes me happy and it confirms that the Aprilia Alitalia team is made up of exceptional engineers and people. It is a squad to whom today I wish to congratulate for having made possible what seemed like a crazy dream a few months ago in just 27 races."
