Riccardo Russo wraps up Pole in Spain

Riccardo Russo (Yamaha Team Italia FMI) set a new Motorland Aragon track best of 2 minutes 5.799 seconds to take pole in the Superstock 600 class, holding onto the top spot despite a late charge from Michael van der Mark (EAB Ten Kate Junior Honda).
MTM Yamaha team-mates Gauthier Duwelz and Adrian Nestorovic continued their good form to go third and fourth, with another Yamaha, the Team Trasimeno machine of Nacho Calero Perez, fifth. Team GO ELEVEN Kawasaki riders Tony Covena and Matt Davies were sixth and seventh after qualifying was completed.
