The 25 year old Scotsman eager to battle up front at every round and challenge for the podium placings

Former CEV and European Supersport Champion Kev Coghlan will stay with DMC Racing to contest his second season in the Supersport World Championship. The 25 year old from Perth, Scotland, had an up-and-down rookie year in the series, in which he showed great speed at times, but also had several crashes in the process. In the second half of the past season, Coghlan managed to raise his performance and scored his maiden WSS podium finish, a third place at the Nurburgring. The Scottish rider now wants to improve his results and be more consistent, in order to battle for the top placings at every round.

“I will be staying in World Supersport with DMC Racing” said Kev Coghlan. “The team have shown a great support for me over the last two years and I'm really pleased to continue working with them. From last year I hope to continue improving as a rider and build on the good results we had. There will be an interesting change to the team for this season, soon to be announced, and we hope to be stronger than ever. My focus for 2014 will to be more consistent. Last year we were very fast on occasions and had a few good results, this season we need to be regular top 5 finishers and hope to bag a few more podiums.”

Team DMC Racing has a major announcement in store for next week, and it will also be on track at Portimao for a two-day test on January 19-20.
