Russo looks forward to Supersport debut

2012 STK600 runner-up Riccardo Russo will make his World Supersport debut at MotorLand Aragon on April 14th. The young Italian talent, once again backed up by the Italian Motorcycling Federation (FMI), will contest his rookie season on board the ZX-6R of Puccetti Racing Team Kawasaki.

The Team performed a first test at Almeria last week to allow Russo getting to grips with the new bike. Russo, who was able to set some promising lap-time on this very first outing, sets the top-10 as target for the season.

"I'm very happy to be part of World Supersport" said Riccardo Russo "despite having missed the first round. I'm satisfied with the ZX-6R, it's a very competitive bike and I found myself immediately comfortable riding it. The test went well and I was able to set some good lap times, now I'm looking forward to starting my season the best way and my target is to stay within the top-10. The only thing missing is a bit of track-time before Aragon. I would like to thank the Italian Motorcycling Federation, the Puccetti Team and San Carlo, I hope not to disappoint them and I will do my best to performing well in my debut round, despite not being used to electronics yet."
