Brand-new WorldSSP300 team enters championship with high expectations

With still a few months to go before the start of the 2019 season, the new grid for the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship becomes clearer day by day. One of the new teams in the paddock will be the Nutec – RT Motorsports by SKM – Kawasaki team, which has announced its full line-up for the next season of the feeder series.

Two South African riders with experience in the series will join Nick Kalinin, who was the first name revealed some days ago: Dorren Loureiro and Dino Iozzo. Australian newcomer Tom Bramich completes the quartet for RT Motorsports by SKM but will race under the colours of Carl Cox – RT Motorsports by SKM – Kawasaki.

Dorren Loureiro is one of the most consistent riders in the championship, having scored points in every race in both 2017 and 2018 – a feat unmatched by anyone in the series.  Last season he claimed the Teams championship for the DS Junior Team together with 2018 WorldSSP300 Champion Ana Carrasco, and also secured his first podium finish at Donington Park. Loureiro ended the year fifth in the championship standings and is sure to aim for the title in 2019.

17-year-old Dino Iozzo also hails from Johannesburg, South Africa, and joined the championship last season. The young rider scored his first point at Imola and will change machinery for next year, switching from a Honda to the Kawasaki Ninja 400.

Meanwhile, Tom Bramich is the Australian Supersport 300 Champion and will race in the world championship for the first time. The 21-year-old will be a part of the same team as the former three but will by supported by Carl Cox Motorsports, with the legendary DJ and producer sponsoring this exciting project.
