Badovini announced as Team Pedercini’s WorldSSP rider for 2019

Italian to be at the forefront of next seasons charge

Team Pedercini Racing have announced an all new challenge in 2019, as the Italian team prepare to take on the FIM Supersport World Championship with Ayrton Badovini. Welcoming the all new ZX-6R into the garage, they will be planning to fight back against the Yamaha surge.

Badovini has a whole host of experience in the WorldSBK paddock, with 248 starts across three classes and 21 starts – including two podiums and one win in WorldSSP. Re-joining the well established Team Pedercini Racing after first racing with them in 2008, the 32 year old is expecting a strong season in the ever competitive class.

“I am very satisfied with the agreement,” begins Badovini. “It’s one which puts me in a position to compete with a winning bike. I think we can aim high and I will do everything to achieve the expected results. I know Team Pedercini Racing, as I made my debut with them in World Superbike in 2008. I know the commitment that Lucio and the whole team put into the way the team is run, so for me it is a motivating and happy return.”

Whilst the team are delighted to be working with Badovini again, as Lucio Pedercini the Team Manager adds: “We are only at the beginning of our 2019 program, but I am very happy to have signed an important agreement with Ayrton Badovini. He is an experienced rider who will be able to give us good results in a new class for us. I know Ayrton well and I know how strong he can be with a competitive bike like this, so I want to express my satisfaction with the result achieved.”
