Dutch duo both aim for WorldSSP300 championship in second season together

After coming a brilliant second in the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship team standings, Motoport Kawasaki have again put their trust in the pairing of Scott Deroue and Robert Schotman as their rider line-up for the 2019 season.

Deroue finished in third position in the standings and challenged for the championship right until the final race at Magny-Cours. The 22-year-old also won the Tissot Superpole Award and managed a race win, to go along with the two he managed in his debut season and is sure to be amongst the frontrunners again in 2019.

The Dutch rider is pleased to continue for a third year with the team: “I am very happy that I can put my signature on a contract at such an early stage - especially when that is with my current team, with whom I have experienced two successful years”.

Schotman will also continue with the Belgian-based outfit and after completing his second season on the WorldSSP300 grid has proven that he has a very bright future ahead. The 19-year-old missed several races this year through injury but still managed two top five finishes. In his debut season, before moving to Motoport Kawasaki last winter, he finished twice on the podium.
