Fans get even closer to their heroes in Australia

Implemented for the up-coming season, the formally exclusive Parc Ferme area was brought into the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship paddock at the Yamaha Finance Australian Round, and it went down a storming success with fans, riders and teams as the initiative is set to continue throughout the season.

Once riders cross the line and celebrate on the cool down lap, they now enter the Parc Ferme area as they ride their racing beasts through the paddock to be immersed with their teams and fans. Alongside the world famous Paddock Show stage, the top three riders and top independent WorldSBK rider will be welcomed by adoring crowds before taking to the podium.

Offering an opportunity like no other, it brings the excitement to the loyal fans of WorldSBK and will no doubt continue to get bigger and better. With a chance to see the celebrations first hand just after your favourite riders have crossed the line, there is no better way to end the weekend.

WorldSBK.com spoke to some fans in Australia after their first Parc Ferme experience:

“It was fantastic, I was able to hear all of the media interviews and shout a congratulations message to Jonathan Rea, which is something I’ve never been able to do before. I couldn’t believe it, the atmosphere is like nothing I’ve ever experienced!”

“It was my first time at Phillip Island and it really topped off the whole weekend for me, to be able to get that close to some of my heroes after a phenomenal race, it couldn’t be any better.”

“To be able to tell the riders congratulations and cheer them on with their team is something I’ll never forget. I hope I can get to other races and experience this again!”

With 12 Rounds of the WorldSBK championship remaining, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with this unique Parc Ferme atmosphere. Didn’t get to witness it Down Under? Look no further than on the WorldSBK VideoPass to relive the weekend or to get a taste of the atmosphere.
