The Motul FIM Superbike World Superbike GEICO U.S. Round featuring MotoAmerica returns to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on July 7-9. Many of the world’s greatest motorcycle road racers will do battle on the iconic 11-turn, 2.238-mile circuit. The international and national two-wheel extravaganza is a spectacular demonstration of rider and machine working as one, with championship implications both in the United States and on the world scene. Don`t miss out on the racing acion, as last season’s races came down to moves made at the final turn on the last lap, so there’s every reason to believe they’ll finish that way again in 2017.

Star riders such as Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team), Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team), Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), and American fan favorite Nicky Hayden (Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team) will be among those battling for the victory amid the scenic backdrop of California’s Monterey Peninsula. Rea (Race 1) and Sykes (Race 2) picked up victories last season, whilst Sykes’ three career wins at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is tied for most in track history. Hayden, a winner at this track in MotoGP, finished on the podium in 2016 during his annual homecoming.

Two-wheel road course racing has a storied history at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this season. From local hero Wayne Rainey winning three straight US Grand Prix events from 1989 to 1991 to birthing six World Superbike World Champions throughout its 30 year history, the continuing legacy of motorcycle racing on the world-renowned road course will be celebrated with more incredible moments from some of the world’s top riders.

Fan and media activities will take place throughout the week before the track battles begin on Friday, July 7. The racing action will be supported by professional motorcycle series MotoAmerica, which is in its fourth full season.

The three days of racing action can be followed with full weekend admission tickets for under $100. It can be an event for the whole family as children 12 and under gain free admission as well as paddock access with a paying adult, with camping packages also on offer.
