Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team feeling motivated for Round Four

Dutch fans are in for a treat at the iconic TT Circuit Assen, as Michael van der Mark (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team) heads home full of confidence aboard his Yamaha YZF-R1 machine, with the hope of impressing his home fans.

Finally feeling like it’s his own bike, heading to a circuit which he feels comfortable at, and with the support of his home fans as a boost we could see the young Dutchman fighting for podium spots at the Acerbis Dutch Round. However the weather conditions could change everything, so fans should be ready for the drama.

Experiencing heartbreak and ecstasy at TT Circuit Assen last season, Van der Mark is feeling positive for 2017: “I´m really looking forward to my home race, and it’s always something special to ride in front of your home crowd. After the Aragon weekend with good results and a really good test I`m going to Assen with lots of confidence. The YZF-R1 starts to feel like really my own bike and together with the Assen circuit it should be a good combination. Hopefully we can get our best results of the season and really enjoy my home race!”

The famous Dutch circuit is a favourite for many riders, and British team-mate Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team) is no exception. Heading to the Acerbis Dutch Round motivated onboard his YZF-R1 machine, Lowes is feeling confident with the potential of his blue machine.

Securing his maiden WorldSBK podium in The Netherlands back in 2014, Lowes plans to keep his head down and impress out on track: “After a solid start to the season I am really motivated heading into Assen. The next couple of months the races come quite fast and I am excited about the potential of the Pata Yamaha. Assen is a track I have always really enjoyed, I really enjoy sector three it's flowing and this part in particular suits my style. The fans have always been fantastic so now with a Dutch team mate I think it's going to be a great one for the team. Michael will have a lot of pressure and he has already come out saying he can challenge for the win, so I'm going to creep under the radar.”
