America the destination for WorldSBK in July

Just seven weeks remain before the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship hits the GEICO U.S. Round, as the series thunders into Central California for a visit to iconic Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, July 7-9. Defending World Champion Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) and two-time Monterey victor Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), will head back on track for their on-track battle. While three-time Laguna Seca winner Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team), and returning Italian Marco Melandri (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) will be aiming to claim victories for themselves.

Rea has been almost unstoppable in 2017, claiming seven of a possible eight race wins aboard his Kawasaki; only rival Davies has been able to keep Rea off the top step of the podium when he rode his Ducati to victory in Aragon.

Fan and media activities will take place in San Francisco and Monterey throughout the week before competition begins on track on Friday, July 7. The racing action will be supported by professional motorcycle series MotoAmerica, which is in its fourth full season.

Exclusive to WorldSBK, the Paddock Show is back with more opportunity to meet the riders, win official WorldSBK goodies, and an all new SuperShow on Saturday afternoon.

Three days of racing action can be followed with a full-weekend admission ticket for under $100. Children 12 and under are free and admission includes paddock access and grandstand seating. Camping packages also are available.
