Round three of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship welcomes the opening race for the European Superstock 1000 championship, and Nuova M2 Racing Aprilia have undergone weeks of testing in Spain in preparation.

Working hard on the set-up of the Aprilia machines, Maximilian Scheib and Luca Vitali are keen to begin the season with a strong feeling, as they take on the 34-strong field of STK1000 riders. Testing at Aragon, Alcarras, Cartagena and Valencia the team have been able to build an extensive understanding of the bike’s feeling.

"The new Aprilia RSV4 FW-STK is fantastic” Beamed Chilean rider Maximilian Scheib,  “I am working very well with Nuova M2 Racing, all technicians are responding to all my requests, so we can always be as fast as possible. I am very happy because in the last few days we have had a direct comparison with our competitors, and we were able to be among the fastest on the track. "

Luca Vitali added to his team-mates positives feelings: "We found a good basic setup to begin the upcoming race weekend. I can ride the Aprilia well, we have made many changes and we managed to find a good race pace. It can be a constant pace without coming across any errors, if I can lower my times of a few tenths then we can aim for the important positions."

Vitali and Scheib take to the track for the first time in the 2017 season next weekend at MotorLand Aragon. The European Superstock 1000 Championship is bound to provide racing action to keep fans on the edge of their seats, with race one taking place at 15:15 LT on Sunday 2nd April.
