Aprilia is the third most successful manufacturer in Phillip Island with six wins. The first one came with Troy Corser in 2000 and after their return to racing, they won five times in the years spanning from 2012 to 2015.

BMW recorded three podium placements here from 2011 to 2013, one for each year. Last year their best results were recorded by Jordi Torres; eighth in Race 1 and 7th in Race 2.

Ducati is the most successful team here with 22 wins, spanning from 1991 to 2012. Their podiums tally at Phillip Island is 55, the last two scored last year with Chaz Davies in Race 1 (2nd) and Davide Giugliano in Race 2 (3rd).

Honda have won four times in Phillip Island, the last one was ten years ago with James Toseland in Race 2. Last year Michael van der Mark was able to put an end to a Phillip Island Honda podium drought which had begun in 2010; the Dutchman finished third in Race 1 and second in Race 2.

With a double last year, Kawasaki became the second most successful manufacturer at Phillip Island, with 8 wins to Ducati’s 22. In recent times, Kawasaki have also won Race 1 here two years ago, while it’s other five wins came in the Nineties with local riders Robert Phillis and Anthony Gobert.

Yamaha have won here five times: four in the Nineties and once in this century, back in 2009 when newcomer Ben Spies was able to win Race 2 from pole position. Their last podium finish came in 2011, when Marco Melandri was third in Race 2. Last year their best placements came thanks to Sylvain Guintoli: sixth in Race 1 and 5th in Race 2.

Last year MV Agusta claimed their best result at this track with a 7th from Camier. In every weekend they have competed here they always improved their best result; this went from a 16th in 2007, 13th in 2014, 8th in 2015 and a 7th last year.
