IODARacing rider suffers injury 

IODARacing will not take part to the first round of the 2017 season of the World Superbike championship, in the Yamaha Finance Australian Round. The team will not be travelling to Australia as WorldSBK rider Leandro Mercado suffered a fall and has broken three ribs.

Leandro’s physical conditions is not critical, but he has been declared unfit to fly until the pneumothorax is completely healed.

The team expects to be able to race the second round of the season, which is held in Thailand on the from the 10th-12th March, although this is yet to be confirmed deoending to riders complete recovery.
