British rider to compete at Donington Park with Kawasaki Puccetti Racing

Making his return to the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, veteran Leon Haslam is to make another comeback as a wildcard with Kawasaki Puccetti Racing, at his home round a Donington Park taking place from 26th-28th May.

33 year old Haslam has been a regular feature on the WorldSBK timesheets, with his last appearance in the final round of the 2016 season, securing a top five finish in race two at the Gaerne Qatar Round. Making over 200 appearances in the world’s fastest production-based motorcycle series, Haslam will certainly be one to watch out for as he races in his back-yard.

Testing with the team at the start of the year, the British rider is confident he will have a strong package around the legendary Donington Park: “I’m so excited to be riding at my home World Superbike round for the Puccetti Racing Team. I had a really good test in January in Portugal and was posting quick times from the first time on track. So to take that package to Donington Park and getting to work with the team again is so exciting. I just want to thank the Puccetti team and Kawasaki for the opportunity and hopefully I can give the home crowd something to shout about.”
