Two day test provides Barni Racing Team with a good feeling

Xavi Fores (Barni Racing Team) had a difficult weekend last time out for the Pata UK Round, but the Spaniard and his Ducati squad headed straight to the Rimini coastline for a two day test to work on set up with their Panigale R machine.

Securing two top ten finishes in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship at Donington Park, Fores now heads to a circuit better suited to his Ducati, meaning he was able to make some improvements over the two day test. Undergoing a race simulation in order to understand fully how their bike performs around the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, the team are feeling confident ahead of Round Seven of the series, from 16th – 18th June.

Fores explains he goals for the remainder of the season following the test: "We had the most complicated weekend of the season at Donington. We now want to be closer to the front group, like we were at Imola with a fifth and fourth place. Misano is a circuit I like, and it’s also where the Ducati works better, especially than in the UK."

Adding to Fores’ desire to make it into the top five, team principal Marco Barnabo said: "We believe we have a good motorbike, which will allow us to perform in races with a fast and consistent pace. Maybe there is still some work to do on the dry set-up, but we are very happy. Thanks to the excellent work from the team and the rider, we were able to put in a race simulation and this is certainly the most positive thing, with the results coming out as very good. "
