Red Bull Honda World Superbike rider content with testing progress

Coming off the back of a tough weekend at Donington Park, Stefan Bradl (Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team) was able to use his testing time to its full potential around the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli as he worked through many updates on his Fireblade.

As the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship paddock heads into a short break before hitting the track from 16th – 18th June for the Pirelli Rivera Di Rimini Round, the German rider is happy with the information his team will be able to take from the two day test. Working through the throttle connection and engine in his CRB1000RR, Bradl is content with the progress made.

“We did quite a few laps during this test and tried many things,” explains Bradl. “This gave us a lot of information our team and technical partners can work on during this little break between now and the next race. We focused much of our attention to the throttle connection and driveability of the engine, which is still our priority at the moment, so we hope that things will improve on this side for the next round. We have also tried the new fuel tank and that turned out to be an improvement in terms of riding position, and evaluated the new swingarm, but we didn’t have enough time to test it properly. Overall, there’s still work to do, but we’ve ticked quite a few boxes here at Misano.”

Bradl was also joined on track by Italian CIV rider Michele Magoni, the team’s test rider as they prepare for the seventh round of the season in Rimini.
