The second Race at the historic Dutch venue with less than a tenth in it
It was an all-Japanese manufacturer duel at the front in Assen in 2005, with Chris Vermeulen on a Honda taking on Noriyuki Haga on a Yamaha in a race that went down to the wire. With Haga leading from the front and Vermeulen making his way back from a difficult start from pole position, the fight for the lead became three way between the two and reigning Champion James Toseland – before Vermeulen and Haga dueled it out for the win in spectacular style.
