Multiple race winner to ride in the season finale

Pedercini Racing has announced that Leon Haslam will compete alongside local rider Saeed Al Sulaiti in the final round of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar next weekend.

Haslam was WorldSBK championship runner-up in 2010 and during his most recent season in the category, 2015, the Englishman achieved nine podium finishes and two races wins, including a victory in the final race of the season under the floodlights of Losail on the outskirts of Doha.

Once again, Haslam will race in WorldSBK with his famed #91.

Leon Haslam:
“I’m really excited for racing with Kawasaki in Qatar. I’ve known Lucio (Pedercini, Team Manager) for many years and I am very happy to return to Losail where I won last year. It’s also interesting to try the full WorldSBK-spec Kawasaki. Doha is always a fun track, especially racing at night.”

Lucio Pedercini, Team Manager:
“To have for this round a rider like Haslam is for me a great pleasure and an honour. I want to say thanks to Kawasaki Europe for making this possible. Leon is a great professional and is very fast. I have been a friend of his and his father for a long time. I'm confident for a good performance in Qatar with our bike. I want here once again to say thanks to Anthony West for the brilliant results obtained with us in this year.”
