An addition to the liveries of Rea and Sykes for the Geico Motorcycle US Round

Once again, the championship-leading Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) will team up with motorcycle and rider insurance provider GEICO for the US Round of WorldSBK at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca next weekend.

With GEICO serving as a partner of KRT in America as well as the event Main Sponsor for the weekend, its logos will appear once again on the green and black ZX-10R bikes of Tom Sykes and World Championship leader Jonathan Rea.

“It is great to have GEICO on-board again as Main Sponsor for 2016 Laguna Seca round,” says Biel Roda, the Marketing Manager for KRT. “The GEICO management team are true motorsport lovers and they keep investing in top projects.

“By supporting the Kawasaki Racing Team and our riders Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea once more in our Californian venture, GEICO gives us a second opportunity to try to put them on top of the podium after the races on Saturday and Sunday.”

Kawasaki has won at Laguna Seca four times, most recently with the Sykes successes of 2013 and 2014. However it was another famous name, Anthony Gobert, who twice took victory for the Japanese marque at the Californian venue across the 1995 and 1996 seasons. Rea, on the other hand, will return to Monterey having finished third in the last three WorldSBK races to have been staged at the legendary venue.
