A stop-off for Davies, Giugliano and Rinaldi on trip home from Misano

Following the most recent WorldSBK races at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli plus the World Superbike test on the subsequent Monday, a trio of Ducati riders took time out to visit brake supplier Brembo.

Aruba.it Racing – Ducati World Superbike team-mates Chaz Davies and Davide Giugliano, joined by Junior Team rider Michael Ruben Rinaldi from Superstock 1000, took a trip to the Brembo Research & Development Center in Stezzano as well as the Racing Plant at Curno. They looked into the processes which result in Brembo braking systems ending up on their racing motorcycles in the WorldSBK paddock.

“It was a great day,” Davies commented. “We had the honour of being greeted by Brembo Chairman Alberto Bombassei and it was a pleasure to meet the employees for photos and autographs.”

“It’s impressive for us as riders to understand how many people work there and how technology is used in the production of braking systems – we are only used to pulling the braking lever!” Giugliano added.

The next stop for Davies and Giugliano will be Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in California for races on the 9th and 10th July, where their braking systems will be used for slowing down into corners as iconic as the world-famous Corkscrew.
