More Ducati domination and Championship surprises from #JerezWorldSBK

Chaz Davies arrived in Jerez having already won the last two races in France and Round 12 played out no different, with the Welshman dominating both races in Jerez. History looked set to repeat itself when Rea had the chance to be crowned World Champion in Race 2 at the venue that gave him his crown last year. Rea couldn’t quite match the pace of his teammate Tom Sykes on Saturday and though he had the advantage in Race 2, it just wasn’t enough to seal the deal.

In WorldSSP, Kenan Sofuoglu was crowned World Champion for a record breaking fifth time, before the race had even reached the halfway point! An early duel with his teammate saw Randy Krummenacher put the pressure on Sofuoglu but not before succumbing to it himself…

Anticipation was high for the season finale of the STK1000 Cup where the showdown of the season was set to take place between key Cup rivals Raffaele De Rosa and Leandro Mercado. While Mercado arrived in Spain leading by 7 points, what could go wrong?
