Three riders set to contend in STK1000 on the Kawasakis

Agro On-Benjan-Kawasaki has finalised the team for the 2017 European Superstock 1000 campaign, with three riders set to take to the grid on their ZX-10RR’s for the Dutch-based team. Toni Finsterbusch, Glenn Scott and Wayne Tessels will lead Agro On-Benjan Kawasaki campaign next year with a wealth of world championship experience between the three riders.

The 23-year-old Finsterbusch was runner-up in the German 125cc championship in 2010, with over 35 starts in Moto3™ and 125cc grand prix racing. He is a multiple GP points-scorer and is motivated more than ever to be successful next year in STK1000.

“I'm happy to join Agro On-Benjan-Kawasaki,” said Finsterbusch. “It’s a great opportunity for me after the very difficult season in 2016. It looks like we will have a strong team and I can't wait to ride the new Kawasaki ZX-10RR for the first time during the winter test season. I would like to thank all of my sponsors and all others who will support me in 2017.”

Australian Glenn Scott raced in World Supersport for the last two years, but he suffered a compound fracture to his left tibia and a fracture to his left fibula after a low side crash at Aragon this year. After his crash, the 24 year old has been doing everything physically possible to keep his dream alive and he can’t wait to be back on track riding the Kawasaki.

“Agro On-Benjan-Kawasaki are a professional, passionate and determined team which suits me perfectly,” said Scott. “I think we will have a great season together working towards solid results throughout the season. The 1000cc championship will be a new experience for me coming from Supersport, but I am ready for the challenge ahead.”

Rob Vennegoor, Team Manager at Agro On-Benjan Kawasaki commented, “We are excited to welcome Glenn and Toni to our team and we are sure that both can do well, together with Wayne (Tessels). We’ve know Toni for many years when he was very successful in the German Championship. Riding a 1000cc Kawasaki ZX-10RR will be a new experience for Glenn, but I’m sure he will learn fast!”
