With a new 2016 contract secure, the Italian wants to start on track preparation as soon as possible.

Davide Giugliano is in Jerez with the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati SBK Team, the team in which it was announced he would remain with for the 2016 season. Still wearing a neck brace, the Italian was in good spirits and whilst obviously disappointed that his season was cut short is already focused on next year. WorldSBK.com caught up with him before Tissot-Superpole began. The #34 rider chatted openly about his current condition, the news that he will stay with Ducati in 2016 and how hard it has been to miss most of the season.

Davide Giugliano: “My recovery is very long but I’m not so bad and step by step my condition is improving. I am very happy to renew my contract with Ducati, this for me is very important especially after the crash. My focus is on 2016 and that is the most important thing, but knowing I would miss a lot of the season was difficult at first to accept but I am happy to have a new opportunity.”
