Electronic changes ahead of Round 3 for Suzuki and MV Agusta

Technical changes to improve the chances of the Japanese and Italian manufacturers.

The Voltcom Crescent Suzuki team of Alex Lowes and Randy de Puniet will change their electronics package from this weekend’s Aragon round of the WorldSBK championship, switching from Motec to Magneti Marelli.

The team ran with Motec electronics up until now, but have decided to switch to Magneti Marelli for the remainder of 2015.

In Buriram, as in Phillip Island, Lowes showed pace, securing a rostrum finish in race 2 in Thailand and even though there could be some issues with the adaption of the new package, he believes that it’s definitely the right decision for the team.

“Step by step we will keep working. I am enjoying riding the Voltcom Crescent Suzuki and we just need to work smart and stick to the plan that we have for the new Magneti Marelli electronics. It would be normal to suffer a few set-up issues, but in the end it should make us competitive for the rest of the year.” commented Lowes.

The MV Agusta Reparto Corse team of Leon Camier also arrive in Spain with new electronics in addition to some other small technical changes as they look to build on their encouraging start to the 2015 WorldSBK season.
