The Pedercini Kawasaki Team Manager now hopes for a strong end of 2014.

Team Pedercini Kawasaki is once again part of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship this year fielding two ZX-10R in the EVO category. The hopes for success of the Italian squad in the new class have been hampered by the injuries sustained by Luca Scassa first in Phillip Island, then in Imola. Other Pedercini rider Alessandro Andreozzi has been consistently improving his performance round after round, showing great feeling astride his Kawasaki machinery.

The Team Manager of Pedercini Kawasaki, Lucio Pedercini said: “Well it hasn’t been easy, because we thought Luca (Scassa) was going to help us a lot in the development of the EVO given his experience in the series, but unfortunately he broke his pelvis bone already in the first round at Phillip Island. He also had a big crash at Imola, which aggravated his conditions again. Overall, it hasn’t been simple for him and for the team as well. Andreozzi has done well so far but this is a learning year for him, he is still young and we are happy of his performance.”

Pedercini is confident the last stretch of 2014 can be a positive one for the team: “Luca is coming back for the last leg of the season and I’m sure he will give his great contribution to the team and help Andreozzi as well to improve his feeling with the bike.”
