A brand new competition between WorldSBK and MotoGP took place at Latina’s Sagittario track.

The third edition of the Sic Supermoto Day saw a brand new, exciting 4 vs 4 riders battle taking place on track at Latina (Italy) between the WorldSBK and MotoGP teams. Despite the rain, it was a day of fun for the riders involved and the fans attending the event.

Christian Iddon, former two time World Superbike Champion Max Biaggi, Leon Haslam and Niccolò Canepa squared off against Grand Prix riders Andrea Dovizioso, Mattia Pasini, Niccolò Antonelli and Matteo Ferrari for an exciting challenge that saw the WorldSBK team coming out on top. After the pole position secured by Andrea Dovizioso, it was former British Supermoto Champion Iddon who dominated the race, crossing the line with a 1.184s lead over Dovizioso and almost one and a half second over Biaggi, who completed the podium.

The two podium finishes gave the WorldSBK team the win, while Canepa and Haslam finished in sixth and seventh place, respectively.
